Our Story and Mission

Primary Performers was established to provide engaging performing arts workshops that inspire children and young people across primary schools and specialist providers settings. 

We are a midlands based company who want to offer creative solutions to schools and organisations.

As Arts Award assessors, we can enable young learners to gain recognised arts qualifications, encouraging expression, confidence, and inclusion.

Our team brings over 15 years of creative expertise and commitment to delivering tailored workshops that resonate with every child’s unique talents and needs. 

We collaborate closely with schools to enrich their curriculum with dynamic, expressive arts programmer.

All of our facilitators have an enhanced DBS on the update system.

Primary Performers can offer time saving solutions to busy teachers.

Creative Director
Heidi Glazier

Heidi graduated from Worcester University in 2008 with a 2:1 BA Honours Degree in Drama and Performance Studies. She then continued her studies on to The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts(L.I.PA) where she successfully obtained a Master’s degree in Contemporary Theatre Practice. Alongside her Drama background Heidi has a love for Musical Theatre and in In 2012 Heidi obtained a distinction in her Grade 8 Musical Theatre from the London College of Music.

 

Heidi has performed from an early age performing in many varied roles including; Serena in Fame, Louise in Road, Felicia Gabriel In The Witches of Eastwick and Addaperle in The Wiz. She also worked at Freeradio (previously Beacon Radio) as the breakfast shows on air entertainment reporter. Since graduating Heidi set up her own theatre company ‘Happy Kampers’ which has toured across the country. Most recently Heidi has performed with ‘The Theatre Collective’ at various midlands venues.  

 

Heidi has been working as a freelance Drama and Dance artist for over fifteen years and during this time has been involved in numerous projects most recently she has been involved in creating and choreographing work for Noel West which was a production in association with Tobacco factory theatres and Bristol Old Vic funded by Arts Council England. The project was aimed at children who had never danced professionally before and lead to them being involved in a sell out run of the show.


Heidi is also the creative lead for Telfords Care to Dance programme which is something she is very proud to be a part of. 

 

Heidi is a dedicated practitioner who is committed to keeping the work she produces fresh and most importantly fun!
